1. MUST PICK THE ACCURATE PAINTING
10 THINGS TO TAKE YOUR DIY DIAMOND PAINTING SKILLS TO THE HIGHER LEVEL!
Be sure to pick a painting that you not only like, but that will be easy to paint
when purchasing your diamond painting. For newbie, complex and too detailed painting might be so confusing, so better to be more realistic.
2. PROPER POSISTIONING OF YOUR CANVASS
You always need to make sure to lay it on a wide , flat surface when starting your painting and start off from the top. This means that it goes up as you move the canvas instead of sliding down every surface on which you put it or touching your hands.
3. USE LIGHT SOURCE FOR ACCURACY
Use a compact light source, like a light pad that you can slide under the canvas or a fold-able lamp, to make it easier to identify drills in dark colors or simply to get more light focused on the canvas to see if you are putting drills right.
4. PUT SAFETY COVERS ON THE CORNER OF YOUR CANVASS
Cover the corners safely, a cloth or folded papers, or washi tape to make sure nothing sticks to the corners of the canvas spcially wax or other dirts. This will make them look proper and clean.
5. SEPARATE DRILLS, PUT LABELS AND ORGANIZE
Make sure you still keep the resins sorted and marked. It's a smart idea to invest in an organizer from the drugstore if you're a frequent painter, or be imaginative with it and use everything from empty egg cartons to coat hangers to store your diamonds. Or simply use a diamond jar storage box.
6.PICK YOUR DRILLS STRAIGHT
Put them down in zig-zag patterns if your diamonds do not hold straight. For larger blocks of the same color, this works better, but for smaller pieces, you can still do it.
7. BE GENTLE WHILE PUTTING DIAMONDS IN.
When positioning the diamonds on the canvas, be careful. The wax from the tool pen can allow too much pressure to adhere to the diamonds, which can fade their shine. Being gentle in application process is necessary.
8. STATIC DRILLS NO MORE
This one would seem to be a no-brainer. To get rid of any static, store a piece of dryer sheet with your resin. It allows them to properly adhere to the canvas.
9.MULTI- DIAMOND TOOL IS BETTER TO USE
Using a multi-diamond method to speed up the process if there are big chunks of the same colors that appear to be never-ending. For various canvas sizes, there are 3-drill, 7-drill, and 11-drill tools available. Be wise and be efficient
10.REMOVE WAX FROM YOUR DRILLS
There is no reason to despair if the diamonds still have wax stuck on them. Before having a damp microfiber cloth to clean the wax off, just wait for the diamonds to settle on the canvas.
